2017, 31 January

This case study is part of a series of studies coordinated by the Bank Information Center to assess the World Bank’s impacts on forests at the project level, both by projects in the forest sector and sectors that drive deforestation. In this particular case, we analyze the Pará Integrated Rural Development Project with the specific objective of evaluating how it contributed to reduce deforestation and enhance natural resource management in the Brazilian state of Pará. The study also includes recommendations for World Bank’s future operations based on the findings of this analysis.
