Materiality of ESG KPIs: A Perspective From Brazil

In partnership with the Principles for Responsible Investment, this study shows how Brazilian investors understand the materiality of environmental, social and governance indicators (ESG) for the financial performance of companies. It was based on a survey SITAWI conducted with 34 Brazilian institutional investors, including pension funds, asset managers and private equity firms, and it covered companies in nine sectors: food, retail, textiles, mining, real estate, oil and gas, steel, education and transport.
