Carbon Tracker – Will the carbon bubble burst in Brazil?

2016, 3 February

SITAWI was chosen by the English think-tank Carbon Tracker to manage a case study on the Brazilian market, analyzing the different perspectives found in coal, oil, and gas organizations with regard to carbon budgeting. Some of the major issues addressed included: Is it possible to increase production while meeting Brazilian carbon targets designed to limit overall global warming impact? What impact might the carbon bubble have in investment portfolios? Launched in June 2013 and presented to large banks, investment funds, and businesses in Rio and São Paulo, the study positioned SITAWI as a leader in the emerging theme of valuing and quantifying social and environmental issues.
