SITAWI is among the TOP 10 in twelve categories of Independent Research in Responsible Investment – IRRI 2016 ranking
On Monday, February, 6, the results of the Independent Research in Responsible Investment – IRRI 2016, the most important and most recognized ranking of responsible investment in the world, were released. SITAWI Finance for Good was among the ten best placed in twelve categories, its best result since the first participation, in 2013.
The 2016 edition elected Gustavo Pimentel, Director of SITAWI, as second best social and environmental Analyst for Investors in the world. Also present in the list were two other members of SITAWI staff: Frederico Seifert in 9th place and Cristóvão Alves in 13th place. Pimentel was also placed as second in the best social and environmental Analyst category by the votes of listed companies.
“Beyond the individual positions, SITAWI’s performance also shows that the company has a very well prepared team to help companies, investors and financial institutions to integrate social, environmental and governance issues in their investment decisions”, Pimentel stated.
The organization remains in the fourth place in Best Firm for Emerging Markets category and is also among the Global TOP10 Best Firm for Social and environmental Investors Research, Best firm for Engagement Services, Best firm for Fixed Income Research, Best firm for News; Best firm for Data; Best firm for Indices, besides the Best firm for Climate Change research and Best firm for Risk Analytics.
Since 2013, SITAWI evaluates the social and environmental performance of companies and financial institutions and is the only Brazilian representative in main IRRI ranking. The 2016 edition of IRRI had record participation: There were 1363 investment analysts and managers from 704 voting organizations. The ranking, organized by EXTEL and SRI Connect, has existed since 2012 and has seen the participation of institutional investors, resource managers, brokers, list companies and research agencies specialized in environmental, social and corporative governance.
