The CIES Project was developed to take specialized, humanized and high-technology preventive medical care to communities in need using advanced mobiles medical centers. It is a non-profit organization that focuses on serving low-income people – the population most deprived of access to quality medical care.
Problem: Limited working capital to invest in their expansion plan that required contracting new employees and implementing infrastructure changes to one of their mobile medical centers.
Solution: SITAWI provided CIES a social loan in the value of R$200k to finance the renovation of one of their mobile medical centers.
Social Impact: The renovated mobile medical center has visited various cities in São Paulo and Mata Grosso do Sul providing a range of medical services and diagnostic testing including EKGs, ultrasounds, endoscopies, and colonoscopies. Each mobile medical center has the capacity to see approximately 17,500 people per month.
CIES has since repaid its loan to SITAWI´s fund, and the capital continues to transform more lives!
