Sustainable Finance Specialist

Valeria is a Sustainable Finance Specialist at SITAWI since 2020. She has worked for over 20 years in the area of risk and impact analysis for projects and companies. She worked at Itaú Unibanco performing Socio-environmental risk analyses for credit approval for projects in the Project Finance modality, aiming to meet criteria based on the Equator Principles and the Socio-environmental Development Standards of IFC – International Finance Corporation in Brazil, Colombia and Chile. She has also evaluated projects and companies based on the bank’s Socio-environmental Risk Policy for operations of corporate credit, debentures, property funds, CRA (Agrobusiness Receivable Certificates), among others, and has stablished evaluation criteria for rural producer clients.Valeria has also worked at the environmental licensing area of CETESB for almost 10 years, during which she was responsible for the environmental impact evaluation for environmental licensing of projects in the energy, industry, and agrobusiness segments. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from the University of São Paulo and a Post-Graduate Degree in Sustainable Management of Companies from FGV (Fundação Getulio Vargas).
